BIOGRAPHY

Richard joined the independent Bar in 1991 when he formed Central Chambers and has been practising as a barrister sole since then.  Prior to that he was a common law partner in a Wellington firm and before that, a New Plymouth firm.  He was admitted to the Bar in 1973.  He is a very experienced barrister at all levels of civil and commercial litigation, family law (relationship property, wills, trusts and estates), criminal law (both as a prosecutor and as defence counsel) and public and regulatory law including many appearances in the area of private professional regulation and discipline.
